This is a 1:100 scale smart port sand table model custom-built for King Abdul Aziz Port (Dammam Port), Saudi Arabia, produced through collaboration between CIMC and model manufacturer QZY Models.

Manufacturing Techniques & Functional Features


I. Core Manufacturing Techniques


Proportional Precision


Strictly built to a 1:100 miniature scale; all buildings, equipment, and vehicles are scaled down from actual Dammam Port facilities with a tolerance controlled within ±0.1mm.

Key structures (including cable-stayed bridges, offshore drilling platforms, and spherical storage tanks) adopt CAD modeling, 3D printing, and CNC precision machining to restore mechanical structures and appearance details.

Materials & Finishing


Main frame: aerospace-grade ABS engineering plastic with aluminum alloy skeleton, ensuring structural strength and long-term stability.

Surface treatment: automotive-grade baking paint with UV-resistant coating, simulating realistic textures of metal, concrete, and seawater.

Logo reproduction: CIMC, Dammam Port and other brand logos are applied via silk-screen or pad-printing, with consistent font and color matching to real objects.

Scene Restoration


Landform & terrain: simulated Dammam Port coastline, port roads, and green belts using simulated grass powder, sand and gravel, and water-effect paste.

Equipment details: containers, quay cranes, trains, trucks, etc., are restored with authentic structures and paint finishes, including openable hatches and movable booms.

II. Intelligent Demonstration Functions


Dynamic Operation Simulation


Sea-rail intermodal transport: container trains run on tracks to simulate cargo transportation from the port to inland destinations.

Loading & unloading process: quay cranes and yard cranes enable spreader lifting and trolley traversing, simulating container handling from vessels to storage yards.

Vehicle dispatch: trucks, mixers and other engineering vehicles travel along preset routes, with lighting effects to display logistics scheduling scenarios.

Lighting & Ambience Creation


Environmental lighting: simulates day and night modes; port streetlights, building outline lights, and vessel navigation lights illuminate synchronously.

Functional lighting: LNG storage tanks, drilling platforms, and energy facilities are equipped with warning lights and working lights to highlight the port’s role as an energy hub.

Water feature effects: blue LED light strips with flowing effects simulate shimmering seawater, enhancing scene immersion.

Interactive Control


Supports touch control, push-button control, and software remote control. Individual operations (e.g., single quay crane loading/unloading, train departure) can be triggered separately, or full-process automated demonstration can be activated.

Compatible with narration audio to synchronously explain Dammam Port’s operation mode and the application of CIMC equipment.

III. Application Value


Corporate exhibition: as a landmark achievement of cooperation between CIMC and Dammam Port, used in exhibitions, headquarters showrooms, and project presentations to visually demonstrate an integrated "equipment + logistics + energy" solution.
